An ambulance for animals

You know us and the work we do. Be it feeding, rehoming or medical care, we have always tried our best to make the world a better place for animals.

Back in 2011, we were appalled to see the high number of cases of animal accidents. Ambulances for animals were  rare, which meant many animals  lost their lives before reaching a hospital. This inspired us to start our ambulance service. We began with spot treatment and first aid. Today, we have 5 ambulances providing service across Mumbai.

Our ambulances have licensed drivers and a professionally trained assistant to handle and provide first aid to injured animals and even  treat minor cases. For serious injuries, we bring the animal to our hospital for treatment by an experienced vet. We look after our furry friends until they recover completely after which, we drop them off at the same place we picked them up from.

Our ambulances are used for our sterilisation programs and to aid in critical, emergency cases throughout the year. We’re overjoyed that we have been able to save more than 8000 animal lives in the last 12 years with the timely arrival of our ambulance.

During COVID,, the condition of animals became worse as people were locked inside their homes. We rescued more than 300 animals in this period. Our ambulances were also used to feed 500+ starving strays daily from March 2020 to April 2021.

If you’d like to support us and this initiative of ours, please consider helping us with the monthly cost of running three ambulances.
